He rose to national prominence with his 1997 debut album "Everything," which dominated the South African pop charts for six consecutive weeks. The record featured standout hits such as “Everything,” “Walk Away,” ‘Call Me,” and “The Night Love Made a Fool Out of Me.” This success was followed by “What About Me,” a compilation that included fan favorites like "When the Shadows Come" and "Lisa se Klavier," showcasing his lyrical depth and stylistic versatility.
In 2018, Blackrose released “Tyd,” a 17-track project featuring songs such as "Tyd," "Did You Know," and "Valei Van Pyn," reflecting his evolution as a mature and introspective artist.
